First, sincere apologies for not submitting this review long, long ago --- I believed I already submitted.
St. Regis Bora Bora is a magnificent destination that exceeded anything the greatest writers or artists can capture and far beyond my dreams for my honeymoon.
I never wept --- EVER --- when leaving a resort or hotel. I did when we had to leave after our too-short honeymoon stay.
From the champagne greeting on the beautiful boat ride from the airport to the the resort, through the welcome greeting by upon arrival by white-gloved St. Regis team members...we knew we were going to have an exceptional experience.
The room was breath taking. Not to resort to hyperbole, but we were weak-kneed when the door opened. The dark woods floors and decor. The welcome champagne and appetizers. The flower petals on the bed...the heavenly lagoon and floor windows to show the water below.
Phenomenal. We were truly speechless.
The last time --- and only time --- I was speechless was when my wife walked down the aisle of Holy Name Cathedral Chicago on our wedding day.
Walking into our bungalow at St. Regis Bora Bora was the second time (yes it was wonderful but second to the first view of my wife on our wedding day :))
The resort is serene. It's almost like we had the place to ourselves, though we saw many people when dining and at the pools and beach.
It is striking how quiet the resort is and how lush and beautiful our surroundings.
Aiko was our primary host along with a couple others. Everyone was kind, courteous, attentive and beyond welcoming.
I pray those who desire to be in the hotel/resort business are afforded the chance to witness the management and team at St. Regis Bora Bora and how guests are treated. These people are not just employees, these are people with whom you wish to spend time and chat and learn about their lives and experiences.
They expressed genuine care and concern for our needs and experiences.
The food at all the restaurants --- and that which was ordered to our bungalow was superior.
Food and drink the Lagoon by Jean-Georges, Sushi Take and Far Niente were fantastic as was the service.
And my wife got me to try the Miri Miri Spa --- it was amazing. As a guy who does not share my wife's love of such things, I confess it was wonderful. The women who provided the treatments were kind and so caring. Yes, I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
I wish I had a greater capacity to express how wonderful St. Regis Bora Bora is and how we are looking forward to returning.
We experienced a private dining experience at night in the moonlight at the lagoon spa; a day on a private island. Jet skis. Paddle boarding (my wife succeeded --- I failed).
EVERYTHING at St. Regis Bora Bora was magnificent. The people were extraordinary and they made our honeymoon an amazing experience.

It is an amazing place with a great team of people and we will be back very soon.
We give the St. Regis Bora Bora the highest rating and recommendation possible!
