Weather and Climate
French Polynesia enjoys warm, tropical weather year-round. Cooled by the gentle breezes of the Pacific, the climate of these islands is sunny and pleasant. As Tahiti and her islands are below the Equator, the seasons are the reverse of those in the Northern Hemisphere.
Citizens of the United States and Canada must have a valid passport and return ticket. Visas are not required for stays of less than one month. Please contact the hotel for further information. Currency Exchange Rates
All rates and credits are stated in French Pacific Franc XP. Dollar amounts will vary based on the currency exchange rate. The United States dollar is accepted in some establishments.
Credit Cards, Banks and ATMs
Most major credit cards including American Express, Visa and Master Card are accepted. Traveler checks are widely accepted. There are several banks within Vaitape with ATMs, and there's also an ATM at the airport.
What To Wear
Sunglasses, bathing suits and lightweight, loose-fitting cotton washables are perfect for the paradise weather. Casual slacks and sport shirts are fine for men at dinner. Local women wear shorts or casual slacks during the day and colorful dresses at night. The Resort recommend you bring reef shoes for your protection. The Resort will not be held responsible for any injury resulting from the lack of use of reef shoes throughout the property.
Internet access is free for each client in the entire resort (villas and publics areas).
Our on-site 24 hour fitness center is furnished with sophisticated strength-training equipment from Technogym as well as other ergonomically advanced equipment designed to support your individual workout needs. We ask that Fitness Center guests be at least 16 years of age.
Your cell phone service may not work in Bora Bora depending on the type of phone you have and your service provider. There are also rental options available.
Electrical power in French Polynesia is 220Volts - 60Hz. Electric outlets are the same as in Continental Europe with two round holes.
The St.Regis Bora Bora Resort Kids Creativity Club offers little guests an artistic experience filled with fun activities. Babysitting services, cribs and child-sized bathrobes are available upon request. We ask that requests for babysitting services be given a 24 hour notice to ensure the best service possible.
